THE GETTY

Hat / LA RAMS, Blazer / Own design, Hoodie / YSMN, Shorts / Pieszak, Sneakers / Yeezy 350

Location: The Getty Center, Los Angeles, California
Photos taken with iPhone 8

Ah yes, The Getty, a place I have always wanted to see but never really made time to see. You know those places? I have a whole book of them. In the whole world actually but for LA, the list is long. I still have to go hike in the Malibu mountains, drive down Mulholland drive, do some sort of horse back riding and so much MUCH more. Not to mention all the restaurants I have not yet eaten at. I feel like I discover new ones everyday. It’s almost stressful (tough I know).

You can’t photograph inside The Getty because, well, it’s filled with Picasso, Rembrandt and more but the outside is just as breathtaking. Sitting on a hill just of Sunset Blvd, The Getty shines over looking Los Angeles in all it’s glory. White tile, majestic shapes and pillars everywhere. It is an architectural masterpiece and a true pleasure to wander around there for hours. They also have The Getty gardens below on the hill and also here does perfection shine through. I highly recommend visiting this landmark, if not for the art, for the photo possibilities and amazing views.

Hat / The Kooples, Crewneck and pants / Villao (shop here and here), Bags / Chanel (vintage), Sneakers / Adidas yung-1 (shop here)

Location: Los Angeles, California

I have never before been in LA during January and February and I never thought I would say this, but it gets cold here too. WHY GOD WHY?! Okay when I say cold I mean like 15 degrees, it’s chilly – not cold. But seriously, where do I have to move for constant 30 degrees and eternal sunshine?! Might consider island life.

But this “cold” luckily opens up for some cozy outfits, and one of my favorite materials cashmere. Now cashmere can also be worn in the summer don’t forget – it keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It’s divine. This whole set is from Villao the rib pants actually also has a rib turtleneck that matches, you can find it here. I just chose to pair it with my crewneck because well, I live in it basically.

Wearing this set I had 4 different girls asking me where it was from, especially the pants, which is so nice – that’s one of the big reasons I love Americans so much. They just ask, “hey where are those from I love them!” or “Wauw you look amazing, where can I get that shirt?” – it’s such a nice, positive vibe to put out there, spreading the love!

DESERTED

Jewelry /
Necklace / Maria Black (shop here)
Earrings / Zara (old)

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona

Starting this year off with a little trip to Arizona, I needed to see some more desert, it’s so pretty and the air is so clean. It’s also warmer here. It’s raining ALL the time in Los Angeles. I have never spend time in LA in January and February and so far I am not loving it. It’s so wet! But oh who cares, LA is still the bomb and I’ll take it wet over anywhere anytime.

I am exploring the desert but also Scottsdale which is a part of Phoenix that I haven’t been to before. I’ll do a little restaurant tip or something before I return to LA on sunday – I love exploring new places! It’s so fun to do a little get away, there is so much to see!

TRASH ALA GUCCI

Top / Gina Tricot, Jeans / Weekday, Sneakers / Adidas Yung-1, Backpack / Chanel

Location: Los Angeles, California
Photos taken with iPhone 8

So we found them, the famous trashcans. Word has it that they move around, and I said to Birgitte – “while you are here we should really see if we can find those Gucci trash cans”. About two hours later we take a short cut, trying to cut the traffic by going behind the bigger roads and suddenly B says (totally calm btw), “isn’t that them?” and she points into an alley and there they were, the gucci trashcans. I of course almost crashed the car in pure excitement but we survived. Thank god, otherwise how could we have photographed them?! That is the question. I guess everything happens for a reason.

I have gotten a ton of questions about these jeans on instagram, because I wear them all the time on my story and it seems you guys want to know where they are from. Well the denim it self is from Weekday, so the original pant was from Weekday. They make the best jeans honestly, I don’t care how many super expensive jean brands there are, Weekday rules. The quality is unbeatable. I have then cut off the top of the pants (the button too) and slit the jeans by the knees and I tore open the bottom. Then I washed them 5 times and now they look like this. I absolutely love them and live in them several days a week.

LUMBER JACKIE

Shirt / Vans, Top and bikershorts set / Forever21 (shop here), Sneakers / Adidas NMD (shop here), Belt bag / Gucci (shop selection here)

Jewelry /
Necklace / Maria Black (shop here), Earrings / Jane Kønig (shop here)

Lumberjacks term: are North American workers in the logging industry who perform the initial harvesting and transport of trees for ultimate processing into forest products.

Which is not me obviously, but I love “their” checked shirts. So much indeed I wear them at least 4 times a week (if not more). It fits the relaxed Cali vibe perfectly and they are super comfortable. Kinda like a jacket, because an actual jacket is too warm. My favorite combo at the moment is biker shorts, a sports bra, tons of jewelry, sneaks and lumberjack shirts. Love when I get a new go to outfit, it’s like finding a new favorite song – epic!

It’s funny how bikershorts have suddenly become a thing. But I wanna say thanks to whoever wore them out as an outfit first – because I am in LOVE with them. I grew up around professional biking, my older brother was on the national team and used to bike all around the world so this “uniform” is not foreign to me. I just never thought about wearing them out with a dress shirt and a pair of heels but I really mean it when I say – It’s my new favorite outfit. I have found that SPANX makes amazing “biker shorts” – they are actually just high waisted, tummy tightening panties but I like to use them as shorts. They are so high waisted, it gives me life!

Also the day I wore this outfit I drove by this big marble looking building in WeHo and just yelled “WE HAVE TO STOP HERE” so loud that Birgitte almost jumped out the car in fear. But seriously – who could have dreamed of a whole building in look a like marble?! My god the world is once again perfect. Arhg.. that might be a stretch but LA keeps being amazing!

NOBODY AROUND

T-shirt / No brand, Pants / IAMGIA (shop here), Shoes / Adidas Yung-1 (shop here)

Jewelry /
Ring / Bodil Binner (see more here), Earrings / Jane Kønig (shop here)

Location: Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, California
Photos taken with Canon 5D mark 2

I had been wanting to see Joshua tree for years. Cause lets be honest, the photos people take there look like magic. Basically Joshua tree and Yucca Valley is about 3 hours east of LA – over the mountains and directly into the desert. It’s like another world. I have had my bestie B staying with me for a couple of weeks and we decided to take a trip out into the nothingness. We rented a small, but wonderful cabin in the middle of nowhere in Yucca Valley about 10 minutes in car from the Joshua Tree national park and just had the best time. No neighbors, no pavement on the roads – just sunshine and some wine. More pics from Joshua Tree coming up. Stay tuned.

I have been traveling so much lately I feel like my head is spinning. Cannes, China, London – then home to my parents for a quick visit and so on and so on. It’s so much fun but also exhausting! I found it kind of funny that I was wearing an LA sweatshirt in London, it’s almost like I carry that city with me everywhere I go. Anyway, now it’s Copenhagen fashion week and then there will be more traveling in September. Talk soon babes!

ROSES ARE

Dress / Envii (shop similar here), Bag / Balenciaga, Sneakers / Nike undefeated

Location: Beijing, China
Photos taken with Instax wide 300

First pip from my trip to China – spring photos from the heavenly peace square in Beijing. We went there early, saw the elder practice Tai Chi, sing in choirs and do their morning gymnastics. Within the park there was the most amazing park of roses, it was filled with people and everybody was taking pictures of the beautiful flowers. I didn’t know about this part of the park so I felt pretty silly walking around in a dress covered in roses. The Chinese apparently thought it was nothing short of pure awesomeness, they took so many photos of me and I was asked to hold babies and dogs for photos in front of the bushes. People stood next to me for photos and some also just came up and stuck a camera in my face, click and then they went away again. Apparently it’d a good idea to check for flowers parks before rocking a full flower look. Who could have known?

FUZZY SUMMER ROMANCE

Dress / Closed (shop closed here), Bag / Chloé (shop chloé bags here), Slippers / Mou (shop here)

Location: Antibes, France
Photos taken with Canon 80D + 35 mm lense

I am a pretty versatile girl. I can do the hoodie thing, the grunge thing, I can even do the “babe” thing but I am also exceptionally good at the “girl with the pearl earrings” thing. You know what kinda girl I’m talking about – the good girl. It’s a role I am very familiar with because I grew up looking up to my mother and my grandmother who are both very posh, put together ladies with great style (and pearl earrings). It’s been very fun for me to witness the different reactions I get with that I wear. If I wear streetwear, you know a hoodie, a little supreme and so on – people my own age look at me and nods with approval, asks me where my stuff is from or compliments my sneakers. People my parents age (and in this case especially women) will look at me with a bit of a disapproving and observant eye. If I wear something like this outfit, a good girl outfit, the reaction is quite different. A pretty dress, good classic accessories and of course the pearl earrings. Now when I wear something like this, people my own age don’t really pay much attention to me but the elder group of the population has nothing but approving nods and proud smiles to send in my direction. “Ah yet another succesful young adult.” It’s funny how certain generations just assume you are less succesful, less driven or less smart if you wear something they don’t like or approve of. I love wearing a dress like this and I love feeling girly and flowy – but I also love to wear baggy pants, sneakers and hoodies and quite honestly it makes me want to wear streetwear even more just because I want to show that what you wear has nothing to do with how succesful of an adult you are. Everybody at all ages should just relax with the judgement. We shouldn’t judge people on the hoodie or the dress that they wear! Everything is love, enjoy friends!
