english: Big luscious lips seem to never go out of style. Some of the most beautiful women in the world are blessed with a pair (or have paid for a pair). Whole industries make a living of off “big lips” or “bigger lips”. Lips are something we girls talk about a lot, I discuss lips with my girlfriends at least twice a week and many of them wish that their lips were bigger. Even me, and I have quite full lips, I even think about how it might look if I had bigger, softer lips. So when I cam upon this product with the very intense name “lip injection” by Too Faced I just had to try it out, especially because in my experience many of these lip plumbers don’t really work. But to my surprise, it started to quiver and tingle in my lips and that’s when it’s working (or so I’ve heard). After a few minutes I looked myself in the mirror and got quite shocked, my lips are already quite pigmented but they had become even more red and also bigger, success! Then I thought, “maybe it only works on me because my lips are already quite full” but after having several of my girlfriends try it and even Sebastian (only because he didn’t believe that it hurt a little) I concluded that it does work. The first pictures are btw without the product and the last ones are after I have applied it. Just to set the record straight, of course you won’t get huge lips from using this stuff (that obviously requires another kind of injection) but it does give you a lift and it highlights your natural lip color. I am super happy with the product and I think it’s worth a swing with the good old credit card.

english: June is over. The festivals are over. The jetlag from Thailand is long gone and I can finally start to settle in to my normal rhythm again before the fashion week madness starts again in a month and a half. I am testing a lot of beauty these days both so I can do the best travel kits for you, festival kits or whatever you need but also so that I can make my monthly favorites for you. I didn’t do my favorites for May because I had too much to do but here they are from June, enjoy!

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills, Glow kit “Gleam”
(shop here)
Highlighter, highlighter and more highlighter – I can’t ever get enough. I am the kind of girl who will literally stand in line for the release of a new highlighter. It’s such an important part of being good at makeup and looking good in makeup. The glow kits from Anastasia Beverly Hills has quickly become quite famous and not without reason, they are truly amazing. Not only are they super pigmented but their formula is great, it lasts forever on your face and their color pallet is beautiful. A great (and addictive) buy!

2. Idun Minerals, Kabuki brush
(shop here)
I used to be big on the brushes, I had hundreds and would spend a fortune on them. But after a while we kinda drifted apart and I became aware of the beauty blender. But the brush and the blender are not the same now are they? Therefore I am back in the brush game and this one from Idun is perfect quality, no shed of hairs, great grip and just the right length. I absolutely love it and have used it every single day since I got my hands on it.

3. Foreo, Issa electric toothbrush
(shop here)
Never has a toothbrush been this aesthetically beautiful. I mean, just look at it – who can design something so pretty yet also so good? The answer is foreo, the geniuses who also invented the world changing face cleanser, which is also a favorite of mine. This toothbrush is my ultimate favorite in my bathroom right now and my teeth feel clean for hours. Super thumbs up from here.

4. Marc Jacobs beauty, Velvet noir mascara
(shop here)
My lashes are quite long and therefore hard to maintain, they need a big brush but they also need to be held apart, not something a lot of mascaras can do. I mush have tried a hundred, liked 5 and loved 2 – now I love 3. Marc Jacobs velvet noir mascara is great for length but also intensity, it’s not a weak mascara – it gives me volume which is what I look for but it doesn’t clump. Lot’s of love sent to Marc Jacobs for making a great mascara, there are not many out there.

5. Kerastase, L’Incroyable Blowdry
(shop here)
This baby has been on my favorites before but it just keeps surprising me so I wanted to give it another lap. I can’t even begin to explain how many ways this can be used. I use it for blowdry, for straightening, for curling, for styling and for – well anything you could think of. There is nothing this product can’t do. In wet hair and in dry hair, it’s just fantastic.

GHD Azores (shop here), Davines strong hold creme (shop here) Natura Siberica hair oil (shop here)

Photos taken with Canon 6D

english: I have a lot of curls and in Thailand they really came out from their hiding. But also the danish summer can make them pop, salty waters and a heavy breeze can blow my mane out of proportions, so I have tested different combinations of hair products to handle this problem and the result is the trio you see above. Step nr. 1 a good hair oil is essential, it softens and closes the fly aways – especially this one from Natura Siberica has knocked my socks of. It smells incredible and it is not greasy at all – even in fine hair like mine I can apply multiple times and it doesn’t get oily. Step nr. 2 the best flatiron you can get your hands on is necessary, GHD is the undefeated master and will forever be, their styling irons are just amazing to handle and leaves your hair beautiful and you can always get them in fun colors like this one from their Azores series. Step nr. 3 the fly away hero, my liquid wax, I use it to define my curls, to catch frizz (before it gets out of control) and it was also just the best to use before I had my hair braided, kept it all in place. Everything I am going to use this summer in one photo, I am a fan!

Tak for denne gang Distortion!

english: Yesterday was the last day of Distortion and we were out taking photos of my last Distortion look in the sun, the weather in Copenhagen is just beautiful right now. For this look I was inspired by the american youtubers and how they are not afraid of a good contour and highlight session mixed with dramatic lashes – I love it! The lip color is NYX’s Liquid Suede in the color Stone Fox, I am quite fond of grey makeup these days and NYX’s suede series is very comfortable to wear, huge win win as wearing dark lip color can be quite exhausting. I hope you like the look! Thank you for this time around Distortion!

Gigi Hadid havde fået tegnet en glitter streg under øjenbrynet, se mere her. I think it’s such a strong look and a very different take on a beauty trend and I have been looking forward to making my own version of it for your guys together with NYX. I hope you like it! SUGARING VS. WAXING

IMG_0809

Signe Heindorf clinique in Store Kongensgade, Copenhagen

english: “Blod, sweat and tears” apply to many things in life, not only success – and you would know this if you have ever had a bikini wax, ouch. To be honest, pain is not my thing, I am a bit of a wimp and when writing a review/comparison like this I must be honest, or else what will you get out of it? I got a brazillian wax a couple of years ago because I just started watching sex and the city and well..everybody got them and I wanted to be apart of the team. It was awful and to this day I still cringe every time I walk by a waxing place. So I suddenly had very big ears when I started to hear about “sugaring” and how it “didn’t hurt at all” – so I decided to try it as preparation for my upcoming vacation. I went to Signe Heindorfs clinique in the heart of Copenhagen and was met by Bianca who was going to get me through this experience. She was sweet and funny and made it all less uncomfortable, there is nothing worse than the silent type when you don’t have your pants on. Awkward… Flip flap, ship shap and the hair was gone, just like that. And yes it hurt – I won’t try telling people it doesn’t because it does hurt BUT not at much as waxing does, because that sh** will scar (and burn) you for life, it did me anyway. I got oiled up and then I was good to go – no burning, no bleeding and no horrible experience and the best part is that it is now 3 days since I got the treatment and there has been no redness, bumps or any other reaction – it’s just smooth! Thank god. If you are thinking about getting it done as a summer treat to yourself I would say do it, it’s worth the little pain and the result is beautiful, you will love it!

CABIN BEAUTY

IMG_0777

english: How my hand luggage is packed and what I remember to take with my aboard is kinda what makes or breaks the trip for me. Especially when it comes to beauty, I need some very specific items to survive a long flight – so here are my must haves aboard!

1. Hand sanitizer
Oh gosh ew! Everything in the airport and on the plane is ew, so many people touching everything that you touch all the time – I am not usually very focused on germs (my friends would actually call me quite the pig) but at the airport I am suddenly very aware of the amount of people present and therefore also the germs!
Dr. Bronner, Hand sanitizer, shop here

2. Dry spots
What is up with these? Why do you suddenly get a dry patch on your face, arm or leg when you are on a plane? Sometimes my chin just dries up like a raisin so I always carry a very heavy cream to get me through these situations.
Egyptian Magic, Skin cream, shop here

3. Clean mouth
If you are on a overnight flight it can be nice to brush your teeth in the “morning”, gives you that fresh feeling.
Bamboo toothbrush, shop here

4. Care package
Cue tips, nail file and cotton pads – this little package is a life savor! How else are you going to remove mascara dust from under your eyes or fix a broken nail – I usually find these at hotels and bring them with me or I make a little care package from home with the essentials.

5. Sleep tight
Some people just don’t get that when it gets dark in the cabin you should turn your light off too! It’s nap time partner, take a hint! A sleep mask always saves my butt and this one is to die for!
Yolke at Fulldisclosureluxe.com, Eyemask, shop here

6. Kiss me quick
Maybe the cabin pressure makes your lips dry or you sit next to a cute guy but whatever the reason a good lip balm is a must, this lavender scented beauty is my forever favorite!
Badeanstalten, Lip balm, shop here

7. Dry clean
A greasy scalp can happen to anybody who is in and out of planes and airports so just take this little helper with you and you will be just fine, I promise.
Colab, Dry shampoo, shop here

8. Bright eyes
The only makeup I bring with me aboard is a concealer, it can fix anything from tired eyes to a sudden pimple who appeared out of the blue (you know it was that plane food).
Nars, Radiant creamy concealer, shop here

9. Hydration central
A good hand creme is great to use after you have sanitized all the germs away! Keep you soft and smooth for the whole flight and it smells great!
Psst.. Karmameju has a whole section on their website for travel size only!
Karmameju, Chill hand and bodylotion, shop here

10. Bag it up
Last but certainly not least of course you need a pretty little cabin makeup bag to keep your emergency kit in place.
Adax, Makeup clutch, shop here

Facetune 2

english: April has come to an end and I have once again gathered some of my beauty favorites. This month I have been to a lot of exciting press events (also focused on beauty!) which means I have gotten my hands on a lot of exciting news that I am testing right now, things you will be reading about here on the blog soon enough. This month I have discovered new brands like Nasengold and Meraki which has been a pleasure to play around with BUT more on that below. Enjoy!

1. Meraki, Nail file
I have never had a really good nail file, it never really occurred to me that I needed one as I have been riding horses my whole life and therefore have had horrible nails. But since I stopped and realized that nails are actually a pretty nice thing to “keep pretty” I went on the hunt for a nice nail file. It has taken me a while to find it, I have tried the foamy ones, the glitter ones, the metal ones – oh all of them. Then I found this glass nail file from Meraki, it’s quite heavy but I really like that – it’s easy to work with, files very nicely and it’s so pretty (not that it should matter) but it does! AND then to the best part, it’s super cheep! Find it here along with many other cool products that I have yet to try.

2. Eylure, Brow comb tweezers
Known for their expertise in false eyelashes, Eylure also offers many other products, many which I love and use daily! I have tested both their lashes and also their eyebrow products (which I am crazy about!) but I will do a review on those another day. This Brow comb / tweezer / wonder, is both handy, a multifunctional tool and one of the best tweezers I have tried – it’s easy to handle with a firm grip on those little hairs. IF I had any brow hairs (yep I’m almost bold) I am sure that the comb is great too. You girls with actual eyebrows should try it and report back! Find it here.

3. Nasengold, #S
Uhh me and perfumes, we are not friends – like I said when I recommended the Hermés perfume a couple of months back “I am difficult when it comes to perfumes and I am not really a perfume girl.” But, yet again, it happened – I found a perfume that I actually like, the #S from Nasengold. I am not gonna lie, I had never heard of Nasengold before sniffing this sporty yet elegant flacon, but I liked the scent a lot so I did some research. Nasengold is a german brand (hint the name) that wishes to be very recognizable on their very signature scents. #S is a scent with a hint of pink pepper, ginger and cardamom – it’s fresh but not boring – it makes you interested of what is inside the bottle and like the Hermés perfume I wrote about it has it’s very own personality. Maybe that’s what I have been missing in all the other “cult perfumes” no personality. If you dare – find it here.

4. Olaplex, Hair Perfector
Olaplex hair perfector is actually step 3 in a salon treatment plan, it’s originally used as the product you “take home” after a rough visit to the salon. I have never colored my hair nor have I tried the salon treatment to strengthen your hair but I had step 3 (the hair perfector) recommended by a fellow blogger because my hair gets extremely dry and dull. My hair is quite fine and curly so it’s very open and vulnerable which makes it an easy target for bad hair days and sometimes many haircuts (never growing long and luscious). This super intense “after treatment product” can also be used as a intense conditioner and I have been very pleased with just doing this and not the whole treatment but maybe I oughta try it some day! Find the Olaplex step 3 here.

5. Kiehls, Ultimate strenght hand salve
Hand creme is for me associated with greasy hands and not being able to touch anything for 30 minutes which isn’t fun at all. So like many other products I have spend some time testing my way through a couple (okay a hundred) to find the one for me. This hand lotion from Kiehls is nice and thick so you actually feel it helps you but it absorbs super quick and you can use your hands without setting prints everywhere instantly after applying it to your hands. I have also used it on my feet and it works soft, dreamy wonders there as well so now I have to buy a new one! It’s the first time I have used a hand creme all the way up! Find it here.

Enjoy!

english: Another month has passed and it’s time for another round of favorites. My skin has been under a lot of pressure during fashion week and that has shown this month so these are some of the products that I have used to calm everything down. Enjoy!

1. Antipodes, Manuka honey mask
I have always loved masks, it makes me feel good and I have a slight idea that the whole “leave for a while” does good for your skin. The brand Antipodes is organic and all the ingredients are from New Zealand, handpicked and well thought out – it leaves the skin soft and with a feeling of nurture. If I am really good to my skin, I will sleep with it on and wash it off in the morning. Find it here.

2. Vita Liberata, Night moisture mask
Being winter grey when you have red hair is in a league for it self, it can not compare to other colors of pale, it gets really bad. This night mask has saved my life, it makes me look good and therefore feel great when the sun isn’t shining. A must! Find it here.

3. Magasin, All in one cleansing wipes
A true savior! Lets just be honest, I am lazy, you are lazy – we are all lazy and these are therefore a good thing to have laying around. I use these most when I travel but also on the “rare” occasion I don’t feel like washing my face before bed time. They leave you feeling clean and fresh and they are super easy to pack up and take with you! Find them here.

4. Jurlique, Love balm
Great lip balms are hard to come by, there are too many on the market and it can be so confusing to find a good one. Jurlique makes these love balms that are basically good for anything, I use them on my lips, elbows – even in my belly button, it makes everything soft again! Find it here.

5. Estelle & Thild, Bio Active firming day cream
Eventhough I am only 22 years old, I like to be prepared – anti aging here I come, at least in some products. I am quite dry and sensitive so this organic super rich cream from Estelle & Thild has quickly become one of my favorites. Find it here.

Kérastase Discipline curl ideal mousse
Kérastase Discipline curl ideal cream
GHD Curve classic wave wand (shop here)

Enjoy.

english: My hair is naturally very curly, its kinda troll meets Julia Roberts – a little all over the place but in a cute way. But I love big bouncy, wavy hair with lots of volume, so I have made a guide to how I achieve this look, in english of course – follow the steps below. Enjoy!

Before I curl: When I get out of the shower I towel dry my hair, brush it through and apply the curl cream from Kérastase, that way the product gets some time to sit in the hair before the curling begins.

1 + 2: I part my hair several times to make sure I curl all of my hair – I am trying to achieve the most even look possible. Roll up and let it sit for a few seconds, GHD irons are super quick and affective so better curl a little less time than burning your hair off – take your time figuring out our iron.

3. Even though I have long bangs its still very important which way I curl it, I like a bit of “fall” around my face so I curl forward, if you want more of a 70’s feel you should curl all of your front hair away from your face.

4. When I have curled all my hair, I let it sit for a while or at least until the hair is cold again – then I brush it through.

5. Bottoms up! After brushing, swing your hair a little to get the volume you just created back. When its all big and all over the place, I take the Kérastase mousse and apply a little to the ends of my hair and whereever it needs taming. Style with your hands until it looks like you want it too and violas!

I hope you enjoyed the guide, if you have any questions feel free to ask!
