DIY FUR SLIPPERS

Når man ønsker sig pels sandaler fra Miu Miu. Men ikke har råd til pels sandaler fra Miu Miu. Må man lave sine egne. Måske du har set på instagram at disse pelsede basser kom på Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, ELLE AU og en masse andre steder under Stockholms modeuge. Jeg købte et par standard sandaler på udsalg i Monki (de har god pasform) og da jeg fik dem på synes jeg næsten de var endnu federe end Miu Miu’s. Samtidig synes jeg også at det ligner at jeg har barberet Ronald McDonalds hoved. Hvilket bare gør dem endnu sejere. Jeg har købt det her fåreskind hos skindhuset i skindergade i København. Får er ikke vanvittigt dyrt, selvfølgelig koster det penge men det koster f.eks. ikke det samme som ræv eller mink. Selvom et par mink sandaler også ville være LÆKRE! Jeg har lavet en lille step by step guide på engelsk nedenfor, så du selv kan lave dem. Enjoy!

english: When one wishes for fur Miu Miu sandals. But one can’t afford Miu Miu fur sandals. One must make their own. Maybe you have seen these little furry babies on instagram and how they made it to Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, ELLE AU and more during Stockhom Fashionweek. I bought a pair of Monki’s standard sandals (they have a great fit) and now that they are done I might even think they are cooler than the Miu Miu’s. I also kinda think it looks like I shaved Ronald McDonalds head. Which makes them even more awesome. I bought this lambskin at skindhuset in skindergade in Copenhagen. Lamb is not super expensive, of course it costs some money but not as much as f.eks. fox or mink. But oh a pair of these in mink would be amazing! I made a little step by step guide below, enjoy!

1. All you need; the sandals, fur, glue, something to measure with and a good pair of scissors.

2. Measure how much fur you need to cover the sandal

3. Measure the same amount + 1 cm (for extra) on the backside of the fur.

4. Part the hairs of the fur like you would on the top of your head. Make as straight as possible. Separate the hairs as tight as you can so you can cut the fur the cleanest.

5. Glue on top op the sandal, be careful it can run a little so you have to be fast.

6. Make sure the hairs of the fur is away from you and towards your toes. When the fur is sat (on top of the glue) where you want it press on it alittle and wait until it’s all dry before you try them on. Volta! Enjoy your new furry slippers.

TOP 5 BEAUTY FAVORITES AUGUST

Bedre sent end aldrig, jeg er lidt sent på den med mine favoritter denne måned. Det er svært at få det hele til at hænge sammen når man har så mange ting fra modeugen man gerne vil dele. MEN her er de, mine beauty favoritter fra august måned. Jeg har ikke haft noget tema denne gang, jeg har testet lidt forskelligt og mere taget udgangspunkt i ting jeg bruger meget i hverdagen. Happy shopping mine fellow beauty elskere!

english: Better late than never right? I am a little late on my favorites this month. It’s hard to get everything online at once when you have so much from fashionweek you want to share with your readers. Everything should be timed perfectly, but it isn’t always. BUT here they are, my August favorites. I didn’t have a theme this month, I sort of just tested everything and anything and ended up wanting to share some of the things I use most in the everyday. 1. Natura Siberica, Nourishing and repairing hand creme in Wild Thistle

The more products I try from this amazing brand, the more I fall in love with it. I have never tested a bad product from Natura Siberica, the greatness never ends. This amazing hand creme does not just have the pretties packaging but it also has the creamiest formula. It’s light but not too light and then the smell, oh my there’s nothing like it. Just try it, you won’t regret swiping your card.

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills, Brow wiz in Taupe

There is no doubt that Anastasia Beverly Hills is the queen of brows, you just have to find the right product for you. Fortunately ABH has it all. I have always been a pencil girl but have been experimenting with new shapes for my brows which also calls for new products. To create super precise lined brows I use this brow wiz pencil. It’s small and easy to work! I love it.

3. Davines, Love shampoo

I love when brands know how to combine pretty packaging and great content. Davines is the master here. I love their shampoo and conditioner and they have so many, for different types of hair. The love shampoo is for curly haired girls like me, it’s divine!

4. EOS, Lipbalm in Lemon drop with SPF

The little bubble of joy, the EOS lip balm. I have finally found my favorite, well besides Vanilla Beam but they only sell that at Christmas, the Lemon drop! SPF and in the cutest yellow.

5. Marc Jacobs beauty, Highlighter in Spotlight

I can’t deny it, highlighters make me happy. They do?! They are amazing. They are the little shiny things in life that make you happy because you can literally put it on your face. This speed stick highlighter is genius. I love the design, it makes it super easy to use and the color is just gorgeous!

Stockholm fashionweek, dag 2. Vejret var blevet lidt bedre end dagen før men det var stadig ikke super varmt, hvornår er det overhovedet det i Skandinavien? Min originale plan var nemlig at have sættet på uden rullekrave, men jeg kunne ikke holde varmen og egentlig synes jeg også at det blev ret fint med. Lauras fine Kaibosh solbriller i perlemor var lige prikken over i’et til dette ferske look. Forresten er de her Bally sko som jeg har på, en ny favorit, elsker det store sørøver spænde og så er de ualmindeligt behagelige at have på. Win win! english: Stockholm fashionweek, day 2. The weather had improved but it still wasn’t that warm, but when is it ever in Scandinavia? My original plan was to wear this knitted set without the turtleneck but I was cold and actually I think it turned out quite cute with the white touch. Laura’s awesome pearl Kaibosh sunglasses tied the outfit together and these cream Bally shoes are just YUM! BTW also my new obsession. STOCKHOLM FASHIONWEEK SS17 FAVORITE SHOWS

Jeg fik ret hurtigt nogle favoritter til Stockholms modeuge, og selvom jeg egentlig kun ville have fremhævet ét show synes jeg alligevel jeg ville give jer en lille smagsprøve på de svenske designere. Her er mine 3 yndlingsshows fra Stockholm Fashionweek plus en lille forklaring på engelsk. Enjoy!

english: My favorites for Stockholm Fashionweek was quickly quite clear, and even though my original plan was to only show you one show I thought I would give you guys a little taste of the swedish designers. Here are my 3 favorite shows from Stockholm fashionweek plus a small explanation to go along with the photos. Enjoy!

STYLEIN

Japanese inspired collection with a swedish twist. Kimonos on fleek and loose fitted trousers with tie waist. Stylein offered Japanese tendencies with swedish embroidery, the flowers gave me flashbacks to my grandmas embroidered table cloths while the shapes gave me a strong desire to layer and dust of my minimalistic side. Beautiful and very wearable collection.

BUSNEL

Busnel has been a favorite of mine since my first months at ELLE where I came to know the brand. For me Busnel is affordable Scandinavian Chanel. It’s classic, great materials and beautiful shapes. This collection was no different. Iconic key styles with a twist and great styling. I was not disappointed, more Busnel please!

GRETA GRAM

Balenciaga meets Céline, very well made collection from Greta Gram with clear references to fashion powerhouses. For a SS collection there was a surprising amount of layering, a happy surprise I might add. The styling was strong and the models were shining. Succesful collection and one of the best shows I’ve seen so far.

STOCKHOLM FASHIONWEEK SS17 DAY 1

Endelig hjemme efter næsten en hel uge i Stockholm. Smukke, dejlige Stockholm, hvis du aldrig har været der så skynd dig afsted. Det er en vidunderlig by. Laura og jeg har fået set en masse spændende shows, nogen bedre end andre og derudover har vi været rundt og se en masse af Stockholm. Jeg overvejer at lave en guide til Stockholm. Bare en lille en, men ved ikke om det er noget der er interesse for? Det kan I jo tænke lidt over. Dette var mit outfit den første dag, et ret minimalistisk outfit i forhold til hvad jeg ellers kan finde på at diske op med til modeuge. Nederdelen har jeg selv lavet og Boyy tasken er Lauras. Jeg er selv helt pjattet med de her Pia Wallén cuffs, jeg synes de giver noget super stilet til en ellers ret almindelig bluse og ret clean outfit. Vær dog opmærksom på at de er en lille smule små i størrelsen. Stay tuned for en masse Stockholm content i løbet af de næste par dage.

english: I’m finally home after almost a whole week in Stockholm. Beautiful, lovely Stockholm, if you have never been, book a ticket now. It’s just a wonderful city. Laura and I saw a bunch of great shows, some better than others and besides that we have been around Stockholm. I am thinking of doing a guide to Stockholm, what do you think about that? Just a small one. This was my outfit on the first day of Stockholm Fashionweek. A bit more minimalistic than what I usually wear for fashionweek. The skirt, I made myself and the bag is Lauras. I am absolutely in love with these Pia Wallén cuffs, they just add something super stylish for this clean look. Be aware that they are quite small in size.
