Foråret er lige om hjørnet, faktisk er det her måske allerede – man ved sgu aldrig med det danske vejr. Anyway – i takt med det er blevet varmere og lysere er jeg begyndt at hælde mere og mere til en ret utraditionel farve nemlig off white eller knækket hvid – cremefarvet som min bedstemor kalder den. Som i ved elsker jeg hvid, særligt hvid hvid, det er den smukkeste farve i verden så for at udvidde min horrisont lidt er jeg begyndt at gå mere og mere i denne smukke farve som passer til alt mit beige og brune som jeg går rigtig meget med om sommeren. english: Spring is just around the corner, perhaps it is already here – you never know with the danish weather. Anyway – as it has been getting warmer and lighter, I have begun to explore a rather unconventional color, off white or cream as my grandmother calls it. As you know, I love white, especially white white, it is the most beautiful color in the world. So therefore I wanted to expand my horizon little so I started to wear this beautiful color and it fits all my beige and brown that I always wear in the summer. Det her er faktisk et outfit som jeg havde planlagt til Milano modeugen men grundet regn og rusk ville jeg ikke tage disse fine ruskindsstøvler udenfor og det var vist også en anelse optimistisk at tro jeg kunne have så bare ben i februar. Men Laura og jeg skød det alligevel, og da det var et af mine yndlings set har jeg glædet mig til at dele det med jer. Jeg havde rigtig meget 2ND Day på under modeugerne, jeg er fuldstændig forelsket i hvad de laver, de er farverige, modige og legesyge – og så formår de at få det hele ind i én kollektion og på den måde gøre den mageløs. Hatten af for deres design team, de er alt for seje! Jakken er en af mine favorit pieces denne sæson og så endda i efterårets it-farve rustrød – den er helt fantastisk. english: This outfit was originally planned for Milan fashion week but due to heavy rain, not wanting to ruin my beautiful suede boots and it being just a tat too cold for that much leg I didn’t end up wearing it. But this was actually one of my favorite sets of the season so Laura and I shot it anyway. I have been looking very much forward to sharing it with you guys. As you may know, I wore a lot of 2ND Day during fashion week because I am absolutely crazy in love with everything they do – colorful, playful and bold is how I would describe them, and they manage to put all of those words into their collections, hats off to their design team, they are just too cool! This jacket is one of my absolute favorites this season, it’s beautiful and it is also in next seasons ‘it’ color – rust red, absolutely love it. Have a great week guys, more on the blog wednesday!
April er ved at nå sin ende og jeg har endnu engang samlet nogle beauty favoritter til jer! Jeg har i denne måned været til en masse pressedage (også på beauty!) hvilket betyder jeg har fået lov at teste en masse spændende som i kommer til at læse mere om her på bloggen. I denne måned har jeg opdaget nogle nye mærker som Nasengold og Meraki som har været rigtig spændende at lege med MEN det kan i læse mere om nedenfor! God fornøjelse.
english: April has come to an end and I have once again gathered some of my beauty favorites. This month I have been to a lot of exciting press events (also focused on beauty!) which means I have gotten my hands on a lot of exciting news that I am testing right now, things you will be reading about here on the blog soon enough. This month I have discovered new brands like Nasengold and Meraki which has been a pleasure to play around with BUT more on that below. Enjoy!
1. Meraki, Nail file
I have never had a really good nail file, it never really occurred to me that I needed one as I have been riding horses my whole life and therefore have had horrible nails. But since I stopped and realized that nails are actually a pretty nice thing to “keep pretty” I went on the hunt for a nice nail file. It has taken me a while to find it, I have tried the foamy ones, the glitter ones, the metal ones – oh all of them. Then I found this glass nail file from Meraki, it’s quite heavy but I really like that – it’s easy to work with, files very nicely and it’s so pretty (not that it should matter) but it does! AND then to the best part, it’s super cheep! Find it here along with many other cool products that I have yet to try.
2. Eylure, Brow comb tweezers
Known for their expertise in false eyelashes, Eylure also offers many other products, many which I love and use daily! I have tested both their lashes and also their eyebrow products (which I am crazy about!) but I will do a review on those another day. This Brow comb / tweezer / wonder, is both handy, a multifunctional tool and one of the best tweezers I have tried – it’s easy to handle with a firm grip on those little hairs. IF I had any brow hairs (yep I’m almost bold) I am sure that the comb is great too. You girls with actual eyebrows should try it and report back! Find it here.
3. Nasengold, #S
Uhh me and perfumes, we are not friends – like I said when I recommended the Hermés perfume a couple of months back “I am difficult when it comes to perfumes and I am not really a perfume girl.” But, yet again, it happened – I found a perfume that I actually like, the #S from Nasengold. I am not gonna lie, I had never heard of Nasengold before sniffing this sporty yet elegant flacon, but I liked the scent a lot so I did some research. Nasengold is a german brand (hint the name) that wishes to be very recognizable on their very signature scents. #S is a scent with a hint of pink pepper, ginger and cardamom – it’s fresh but not boring – it makes you interested of what is inside the bottle and like the Hermés perfume I wrote about it has it’s very own personality. Maybe that’s what I have been missing in all the other “cult perfumes” no personality. If you dare – find it here.
4. Olaplex, Hair Perfector Olaplex hair perfector is actually step 3 in a salon treatment plan, it’s originally used as the product you “take home” after a rough visit to the salon. I have never colored my hair nor have I tried the salon treatment to strengthen your hair but I had step 3 (the hair perfector) recommended by a fellow blogger because my hair gets extremely dry and dull. My hair is quite fine and curly so it’s very open and vulnerable which makes it an easy target for bad hair days and sometimes many haircuts (never growing long and luscious). This super intense “after treatment product” can also be used as a intense conditioner and I have been very pleased with just doing this and not the whole treatment but maybe I oughta try it some day! 5. Kiehls, Ultimate strenght hand salve
Hand creme is for me associated with greasy hands and not being able to touch anything for 30 minutes which isn’t fun at all. So like many other products I have spend some time testing my way through a couple (okay a hundred) to find the one for me. This hand lotion from Kiehls is nice and thick so you actually feel it helps you but it absorbs super quick and you can use your hands without setting prints everywhere instantly after applying it to your hands. I have also used it on my feet and it works soft, dreamy wonders there as well so now I have to buy a new one! It’s the first time I have used a hand creme all the way up! Find it here.
Jeg har glædet mig så meget til at fortælle jer om den her super seje event som Pandora afholder i maj. Den hedder The Pandora Tour og handler om at tage på en cykel tur med en kvinde i dit liv som du elsker, ser op til eller som i det hele taget bare er noget helt særlig for dig. Mange forbinder mors dag med (sjovt nok) sin mor og selvom jeg ville elske at cykle rundt med min mor i en Christiana cykel en hel dag i København har jeg faktisk valgt at lave et lidt andet take på denne event. Jeg kommer til at cykle rundt med en anden kvinde som jeg elsker og ser op til og det er min sædvanlige partner in crime Laura fra Couturekulten som jeg er sikker på i alle sammen kender efterhånden. Vi skal sammen med en masse andre skønne kvinder sætte fokus på hvor vigtige vi er for hinanden og så selvfølgelig tage en masse smukke billeder fra fantastiske København på mors dag d. 8 maj! Jeg glæder mig til at vise jer resultatet fra eventet og husk at I også kan følge med på instagram og snapchat fra dagen!
english: I’ve been looking forward to tell you about this super cool event Pandora is hosting in May. It’s called The Pandora Tour and it’s about going on a bike ride with a woman in your life that you love, look up to or in general is a woman who is very special to you. Many people associate Mother’s Day with (funny enough) their mother and although I would love to ride around town with my mother in a Christiana bike, I have actually chosen to make a slightly different take on this event. I get to ride around with another woman whom I love and look up to and that is my usual partner in crime Laura from Coutureculten as I’m sure you all know by now. We, together with a bunch of other wonderful women, are creating a focus towards the importance woman are to one another and of course take a lot of beautiful pictures from Copenhagen on mothers day, 8th of May! I look forward to showing you the results from the event and remember that you can follow on instagram and snapchat during the day!
Jeg har egentlig aldrig rigtig set mig selv som at være en pige som ville gå med en kåbe frakke – de har altid været lidt “sjusket” for mig, som om det var lidt for nemt – jeg ved ikke hvorfor “nemt” altid har skræmt mig lidt, jeg kan bare ikke lide at se for afslappet ud, det er vigtigt for mig at være lækker og “put together” altid, så jeg har holdt mig lidt fra dem. Indtil jeg faldt over den her smukke sag fra By Malene Birger, jeg har vitterligt ikke haft andet på siden den kom ind i mit liv, den passer til alt, den er behagelig men uden at være slasket og så kan den både dresses op og ned hvilket er en egenskab jeg elsker! Jeg har udover det forelsket mig i (endnu) et ruskinds item, denne gang en taske – grå med frynser og i en ordentlig størrelse, what’s not to love! Den kommer til at hænge på mig hele sommeren.
english: I’ve never really been much of a robe girl – they’ve always been just a little too relaxed for me, not enough form. I don’t know why sloppy (or relaxed) has always been so scary to me, I’m always so scared of not looking put together because it’s a look that I admire so much, so therefore – no robe coat for me, until I saw this beauty. I have barely worn anything else since it came into my life, it goes with everything, its comfy (without begin sloppy!!) and then it can be dressed up and down – a quality I love very much. Besides the love for this coat I have also thrown my heart at (yet another) suede item, this time a bag! Grey with fringes and in a proper size, what’s not to love! It’s gonna be my go to bag this summer.
