Lige noget for mig! Stay tuned!

english: We have finally arrived! The hours are flying by and I feel like the trip is already ending! After a good 8 hour flight we went straight into a cab, then to our hotel and then we got to spend a couple of hours being pampered at the cute Paintbox nail salon just by our hotel in Soho. A small nail menu was presented and I choose a quite down to earth nail look kept in beautiful winter colors. Just how I like it! The upcoming days are filled with shows, events and a whole lot of exciting things I can’t wait to share with you! Stay tuned.

Ahh at flyve langt. Happy reading!

english: Ahh yes, long flights. Either you love it or you hate it – I have never met somebody who was like “mmm I don’t have an opinion about that” everybody does! I love long flights, but I have always been quite pleased with transportation. I love to drive and be driven, to take the train yes, to fly yes, anything moving is just yes! It’s so nice to be on a trip. Going somewhere. Tomorrow I am leaving for New York with Essie and I am so excited! It is some seriously cool ladies I will be traveling with and I can’t wait anymore! What you are seeing in the photo above are the things I never travel without if my flight is more than 5 hours long. I’ll just go through them real quick down below, enjoy!

1. Neck pillow I love you, I need you – just like it’s okay to dress (very) comfortable on long flights it’s also okay to have a relationship with your neck pillow. I love this one from Delsey, it’s soft and since I often travel in all grey it’s just the right shade of grey (yes it matters).

2. This handcreme, I use it all the time – I love it! I get so dry on flights. I just love to smear my hands in yummy cream and watch a movie! Can’t really touch the screen after applying though.

3. On to the facial products, I often travel with very little makeup on if I have far to go. I love to bring a few key items with me on board so I look fresh when I arrive. A little highlighter, a lip balm (or I die), brilliant true match concealer to hide the tired, a brow pencil because these babys don’t do them self and some kind of multi product. I love a good chubby stick, it can go on your lips, your eyelids and your cheeks. Win win!

4. Perfume – my god don’t ever be that douchebag who sprays perfume on a plane. Seriously that’s just mean – not everyone wants to smell like you and we are in a closed space. Thank you very much for your consideration. I found a solution though! Hérmes makes travel size perfumes that are for dabbing, not for spraying. Genius!

5. Nail couture by Essie is the best for flying because it doesn’t need a base coat just apply and you are good to go. This step is of course unnecessary if you are one of those cool, put-together people who always has their nails done. I envy you.

6. Moisture and more of it please. My skin needs a drink while flying so I always bring a great travel size moisturizer with me just in case. It’s also a good idea to bring if you apply makeup on the plane, that foundation has to stick to something.

7. If you travel with mascara on, please bring cotton buds. Nobody likes that ugly black mascara fall out dust under the eyes and especially not yourself when you look in a mirror. Remember that scene from “the wedding date”? Yep, just saying.

8. Mouthwash is always a quite nice thing to bring if you are not a “travel with your toothbrush” kinda gal. These little mouthwash’s are often at hotels, right there to grab and go. Just do it! Last but not least, the disinfectant gel – just because it’s wise. No sickness on vacation please!

english: Another trip over good old Denmark this friday. I am from the mid part of Jutland and travel back and forth quite a lot. It really doesn’t bother me, I love working on the train. Actually the travel it self is really something I love, I also love to fly – sometimes I feel, if the trip is less than 3 hours long, that it kinda doesn’t event count, it’s too short! So trips to the USA and Asia is just for me! As I said I am on my way home to see mamma and pappa, they always host a little Christmas event the first sunday of Christmas and I am so excited to be home. I love my hometown, going to the grocery store in my wellies and relaxing in my old room. So cozy. Here is some inspiration to what I normally pack for a “weekend away” like this. Happy weekend!

Luggage / Delsey (shop here and here)

Paris here I come.

english: To all my fellow travelers, men, women, children – whoever. It doesn’t matter who you are, I got news for you. I have solved a problem that has been bothering me for years; how do people travel with SO much stuff in one suitcase?! Or one suitcase and a small cabin luggage? Are they just super casual about paying the overweight fee or is there a secret? There is a secret, of course there is! AND I have solved it, or Delsey solved it – I kinda just figured it out. Now, all of this worrying obviously has something to do with Paris fashionweek. It’s long and it requires a lot of outfits and I have therefore been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out how to bring all of this clothes until I met the worlds lightest suitcase. Yes you read that right, lightest in the world. With a combat weight of only 1,5 kg, you get a cabin bag and coming in at only 2,8 kg you can get it’s big brother for check in. Can you believe it? Then there is suddenly a long way to the 23 (allowed) kg’s. The secret lies in the frame of the suitcase, a fiberglass frame that makes the suitcase very resistant to damage but keeps the weight down. It’s genius. Finally a suitcase that is both a looker and practical. I am so relieved (literally). Paris here I come!

Find hotellet her.

english: Through out our journey in Thailand we ended up feeling quite connected to Leonardo DiCaprio as we not only visited the beach where the movie The Beach takes place but we also, quite randomly, ended up at the hotel where the Bangkok scenes of the movie were filmed, although it’s actually in Old Phuket town. It took place in a suite at “The memory at On On hotel” which is a very old and quite famous hotel, it’s kept in all blue and white with hints of color in amazing tiles and beautiful furniture, a very romantic place I would recommend to anybody visiting Old Phuket town, it’s almost a fairytale. We were lucky enough that we got to photograph in the suite and I got to sit on the bed Leo has sat on, there were even a photo of him next to the bed, sitting on the bed – so cool! You can find the hotel here.

english: The danish weather is not totally trustworthy these days (or ever) I am afraid but there is always luck in that – it gives me the chance to wear one of my absolute favorite outfits because it is not too hot here yet. I wore this electric blue set from M Missoni when I was in Milan last time, down there it is way more common to wear an outfit like this, not so much in Scandinavia where it might turn a few heads. But who cares?! Never ever let that stop you, just wear what you want! Anyway, I bought these shoes at Stylebop.com but sadly they are not available anymore (sorry!) BUT a little tip; be aware that Valentino often release new sneaks, all oh-so-beautiful, so just remember to check in once in a while if you ever wish to purchase a pair.

english: Happy Monday everybody, I am back with yet another outfit from Thailand which gives me a chance to introduce you to my newest addition to my denim family, this awesome long skirt from Closed. I admit it was a bit warm for Thailand but oh I love it so much, I think it’s so stylish and a cool alternative to the denim mini skirt (if that’s not really your thing) Remember you can shop it via the link above. I am right now in full on planning mode for Roskilde festival where alot of awesome stuff will hit the blog, I am very much looking forward to (virtually) sharing the festival with you, and maybe I will see you there?

Tu Kab Khao restaurant in Old Phuket Town
Find it here

Location: Old Phuket Town

Enjoy!

english: I am unfortunately not one of those super cool people who plan their vacations around selected restaurants, I am more of a “hey I am hungry, that looks ok” kinda gal which doesn’t always lead you to the most authentic places to eat. Food research is something I must get better at. Despite that, Sebastian and I stumbled upon this amazing (and apparently legendary) Thai fusion restaurant Tu Kab Khao in Old Phuket. We randomly walked past it our first night there just as we were looking for a place to eat, it was so pretty on the outside that I just had to take a peek inside. We got a very large (and quite confusing) menu card as we sat down in the beautiful surroundings, we ordered almost all their starters and fell oh so deeply in love with the place – so much that we came back to eat there 3 times in 3 days. The place is kept as an old southern Thai style villa with breathtaking floors and beautiful furniture, it is most definitely a place worth planning a trip to Old Phuket around and it is just across from the amazing On on memory hotel, that we stayed at. Enjoy!

Stay tuned.

english: Phuket – Copenhagen, Copenhagen – Phuket, it seems that this is how the blog is gonna be going for a while, back and forth – you see when you are “only” away for 10 days but you make content for 30 then one will have to let the blog live in Thailand for a while, I don’t think it minds though. Sebastian and I used alot of our time in Old Phuket just looking, there were so many amazing old houses and the style there is something special. Almost old english style but even prettier. Wooden shutters in the window frame, kept in light greys or blues and the house would either be super colorful or kept in white with a twist. It was quite the place, this outfit is inspired by the hotel we stayed at which you will get to see more of soon, it was worth the visit. Stay tuned.
