THE GETTY

Hat / LA RAMS, Blazer / Own design, Hoodie / YSMN, Shorts / Pieszak, Sneakers / Yeezy 350

Location: The Getty Center, Los Angeles, California

Ah yes, The Getty, a place I have always wanted to see but never really made time to see. You know those places? I have a whole book of them. In the whole world actually but for LA, the list is long. I still have to go hike in the Malibu mountains, drive down Mulholland drive, do some sort of horse back riding and so much MUCH more. Not to mention all the restaurants I have not yet eaten at. I feel like I discover new ones everyday. It’s almost stressful (tough I know).

You can’t photograph inside The Getty because, well, it’s filled with Picasso, Rembrandt and more but the outside is just as breathtaking. Sitting on a hill just of Sunset Blvd, The Getty shines over looking Los Angeles in all it’s glory. White tile, majestic shapes and pillars everywhere. It is an architectural masterpiece and a true pleasure to wander around there for hours. They also have The Getty gardens below on the hill and also here does perfection shine through. I highly recommend visiting this landmark, if not for the art, for the photo possibilities and amazing views.

I have never before been in LA during January and February and I never thought I would say this, but it gets cold here too. WHY GOD WHY?! Okay when I say cold I mean like 15 degrees, it’s chilly – not cold. But seriously, where do I have to move for constant 30 degrees and eternal sunshine?! Might consider island life.

But this “cold” luckily opens up for some cozy outfits, and one of my favorite materials cashmere. Now cashmere can also be worn in the summer don’t forget – it keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It’s divine. This whole set is from Villao the rib pants actually also has a rib turtleneck that matches, you can find it here. I just chose to pair it with my crewneck because well, I live in it basically.

Wearing this set I had 4 different girls asking me where it was from, especially the pants, which is so nice – that’s one of the big reasons I love Americans so much. They just ask, “hey where are those from I love them!” or “Wauw you look amazing, where can I get that shirt?” – it’s such a nice, positive vibe to put out there, spreading the love!

TIP | THE CANAL CLUB

The Canal Club
At the Scott resort and spa
4925 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, Arizona
Read more here

Okay just to be clear, I am coming back here – not just for the food, the decor, the drinks – but purely because of the surroundings. OMG I have rarely been a place that was so beautiful, comfortable and just chic. It was heaven. The Canal Club is a cuban inspired restaurant inside of the Scott resort and spa located in Scottsdale, Arizona. I went there to escape the rain LA had to offer and decided the desert would be a suitable place to run, and boy was I right.

I felt transported back to Bali with the crazy beautiful spaces, the outdoor gardens and the amazing food at The Canal Club. I had the cub salad two days in a row (yes I went there twice in 4 days), it was excellent, and so was the cuban sandwich and the tuna tostadas – yum! The Canal Club is also Arizona famous for their AMAZING cocktails, but should there be nothing on their large drink menu that suits your taste – the spa resort it self also has an amazing bar with even more amazing drinks.

I have decided to return in a couple of months and maybe this time with a full review of their rooms, the spa and more Canal Club. Stay tuned.

I WANNA WEAR | JANUARY

1. Sportsbra / Nike (shop here), 2. Camera / Polaroid (shop here), 3. Sweatpants / Yeezy (shop here), 4. Sunglasses / Celiné (shop here), 5. Earring / The last line (shop here), 6. Blazer / Gucci (shop here), 7. Bag / Fantabody (shop here), 8. Bodysuit / Live the process (shop here), 9. Liquid toner / Dr. Jart (shop here), 10. Mules / Cult Gaia (shop here)

Starting the year off a bit casual and a fit formal. I love mixing a blazer with sweatpants. It’s actually one of my favorite things to do and also what my closet consists most of these days, blazers and sweatpants. Why not throw them together. I even love pairing them up with sneakers (surprise), but then I stumbled upon these AMAZING Cult Gaia shoes in clear, I am in love. just look at the heel! So artistic. Also very reasonably priced and I predict them to be quite popular this spring.

I don’t think its any surprise that I would wear it with a sports bra and a fanny pack. I love this one from Fantabody, their logo it super cool and not something you see everyday. BTW don’t you just love this onesie thing I found?! I think people use it for ballet but I would wear it just with heels, kinda like a catsuit – it’s perfection. Again, just throw on the blazer, it goes with everything.

Anyway – hope your January is going well, I will be sharing some Arizona tips with you shortly! Happy shopping beautiful people!

Starting this year off with a little trip to Arizona, I needed to see some more desert, it’s so pretty and the air is so clean. It’s also warmer here. It’s raining ALL the time in Los Angeles. I have never spend time in LA in January and February and so far I am not loving it. It’s so wet! But oh who cares, LA is still the bomb and I’ll take it wet over anywhere anytime.

I am exploring the desert but also Scottsdale which is a part of Phoenix that I haven’t been to before. I’ll do a little restaurant tip or something before I return to LA on sunday – I love exploring new places! It’s so fun to do a little get away, there is so much to see!

2019

I am wearing:
Blazer / Maje (shop here), Bag / Gucci

Find Nobis Hotel Copenhagen here

December came and went, I thought about writing some “what to get your this and that for Christmas” but honestly I didn’t really feel like it and hey, it’s after all my blog so I can do as I please. It’s kinda awesome. In the past I have been more active on my blog than I have on Instagram and for a while it was very 50/50. Now I find myself liking Instagram more as a platform because it’s so direct and I can really connect with you guys. I get messages in my DM daily about things you love that I do, or stuff you miss which is awesome feedback. That doesn’t mean I won’t be blogging, because I also love my blog and love sharing picture filled stories and write a little more than just the one caption. So don’t worry neither is going anywhere. I am of course writing “don’t worry” as I have gotten several messages on IG about my absence here on the blog in December. But you know what? Sometimes I just need a break, and often when I’m on a blogging break just means I am working on something else and that’s fun too!

It’s now 2019, Christmas was nice, New Years was nice and here we are again, it’s January. Probably the weirdest month of the year. I love new years resolutions tho, also love sharing them so I will, once I get back to LA. Right now I am sitting in a big bed in a beautiful hotel room at the Nobis Hotel in the heart of Coco. Feels like home even though it’s the first time I stay here. I’ll share my hotel experience with you in one of my TIP posts, cause it’s worth writing about. Anyway – I am off to a couple of meetings now and then tomorrow I will be on a plane home to LA. Can’t wait.

english: When I was looking through the pictures that Laura took of me it dawned on me that you probably think that I only wear tone to tone outfits right now – perhaps it’s also true now that I think about it,  I have playing a lot in the same colors recently. Mostly because it feels really good but also because I tend to shop one color when I become attached to one, like when you hear the one song you just found over and over again. Green last week, blue this week, I wonder what next?
