JA, det er en friends reference du læste øverst oppe – princess banana hammock – det kan du da godt huske? Jeg kunne ikke lige komme på et navn til denne blogpost indtil jeg huskede at der jo er bananer på min t-shirt og voila! Phoebe i min hjerne. Der er hun egentlig ret ofte. Anyway – der er weekend lige rundt om hjørnet og jeg ved allerede hvad jeg skal. Jeg kommer til at stå på Finderskeepers både lørdag og søndag og sælge ud af min garderobe sammen med en masse seje damer. Det foregår på lokomotivværkstedet, du kan læse mere om eventet her. Jeg sælger både Valentino sneaks og Céline! Kom glad! Ellers har jeg tænkt mig at ligge på sofaen hele aftenen! God weekend og håber vi ses ude til Finderskeepers!

TOP 5 BEAUTY FAVORITES | MAY 2017

Det er lidt tid siden jeg har lavet mine 5 månedlige beauty favoritter men jeg har testet nogle super lækre produkter i sidste måned som jeg rigtig gerne vil dele med jer. Så her får i dem. Jeg har testet lidt til huden, lidt til fødderne og lidt til læberne! God fornøjelse.

english: It’s been awhile since I have presented my 5 beauty favorites of the month but I have tested some great products the last month that I really want to share with you. I have tested something for the skin, something for the feet and something for the lips. Enjoy!

1. Le Lip Liner / Lancôme

A good lip liner is like a drug to me. I have several and every time a new kind is launched I have to check it out. Lining the lips is very important to me. I love a precise lip! These lip liners from Lancôme have a beautiful matte finish and are very easy to apply. I love them already.

2. Hydra Genius Aloe Water / L’oréal Paris

Like you should drink a tall glass of water multiple times a day, your skin also needs a drink! This liquid is not only super hydrating but also calming for the skin. I love the way it feels and the smell. Works well for me both in the morning and before bed. Check out what I have written down below nr. 4 – there is more use for this liquid!

3. Foot Mask / Miqura

Stupid shoes and rough sandy beaches can really f*** up your feet during the upcoming season. I love to bring these softening socks with me on vacation every time. Healing and nourishing, these baby’s will work wonders in just 20 minutes. Be good to your feet, they have to carry you your whole life.

4. Day Cream / Magasin Du Nord

When I started testing this face cream I honestly didn’t expect much from it because of it’s price. But as I applied it on the back of my hand I really liked the texture so I went ahead and applied it to my face. I actually found, besides that it was a totally fine face cream, that it together with the L’oréal Aloe Water makes a genius makeup base if you have quite dry skin like me. My foundation went on so smooth and looked dewy and fresh for hours. I loved the result!

5. Liquid Lip Creme / Marc Jacobs beauty

Some of my favorite lipsticks in the world are created by Marc Jacobs, you will know this if you have followed me for a little while. So, you can imagine my face when I was told that they were launching liquid lip creams. I was SO excited and luckily I found, after testing them, that they are amazing! The pigmentation is beyond great and the wear is super long. Huge fan!

Solen skinner men vinden skærer stadig igennem marv og ben. Jeg sidder her og planlægger kommende rejser og drømmer mig væk fra de februar agtige temperaturer vi har i Danmark lige nu. Bahamas, Bali, Tulum, Florida Keys – jeg siger ja tak til det hele. Dog er der også ting at se frem til her hjemme heldigvis. Elle Style Awards er lige rundt om hjørnet og der bliver produceret en masse sejt content her på det lille kontor under loftet i indre København. John Mayers nye album kører på repeat på anlægget og alt er egentlig helt ok så længe jeg holder mig ude af kulden. Her et lille outfit med min nye yndlings skjorte fra Acne, den slasker på den helt rigtige måde og så er jeg vild med de rå kanter. God tirsdag derude.

I am sitting here, planning upcoming travels and dreaming myself away from these february like temperatures we have in Denmark right now. “Bedste taco’s i…” er nok en af mine mest googled sætninger når jeg er ude og rejse. Det er seriøst bare en af de lækreste ting at putte i munden (pun intended) – så vi gik rundt der i Venice og så det her lille skur agtige sted med et skilt udenfor hvor der stod “bedste tacos i Venice”. Det er noget af et statement hva? Altså nu har jeg jo ikke smagt alle tacos i Venice men jeg vil sige det sådan her. Vi var i LA i 8 dage og spiste der 3 gange. Jeg siger det bare. Sæt det her sted på din liste over steder du skal spise (jeg ved du har sådan en!) og gem den til din næste tur til LA. Du vil ikke fortryde det.

english: “Best tacos in…” is probably one of my most googled sentences when I travel. It’s just one of the best things to put in ones mouth (pun intended) – so here we were, wondering around Venice and we saw this little woodshed looking place with a sign that said “best tacos in Venice”. That’s quite a statement huh? Now since I haven’t eaten at all the taco places in Venice I cannot confirm that statement. But, I will say this. We stayed in Los Angles for 8 days and we went back to Tocaya 3 times. Just saying. Put this on your “places to eat” list (I know you have one!) and save it for the next time you visit LA. You won’t regret it.

Det er altid dejligt når noget man er glad for kommer i en ny og anderledes version. Ikke fordi der er noget galt med det produkt du allerede kender og elsker men fordi det nogengange er dejligt at prøve noget andet. Dette betyder selvfølgelig også at du har alt ret til at købe nyt. L’oréal Paris har netop lanceret de klassiske Color Riche læbestifter i en ny og forbedret version. Jeg er selv en rigtig læbe pige, går nærmest ikke udenfor en dør uden læbestift (noget jeg har fra min mor) og jeg elsker alle slags. De cremede, de glossy, de gennemsigtige, de longlasting – jeg kunne blive ved. Og selvfølgelig, de matte. Jeg elsker hvordan farven træder endnu mere frem under den matte overflade og hvordan man kan bygge på farven så man selv bestemmer intensiteten. L’oréal har netop lanceret 6 nye matte Color Riche nuancer som kommer i en ny lækker indpakning. Disse 4 er mine favoritter! Er særligt helt forelsket i den røde, den har den helt perfekte orange undertone som gør at den rigtig “popper” på læberne. Perfekt til sommer! Happy shopping!

Not because there is anything wrong with the original product you already know and love but because it’s awesome to try something else. It also gives you the undeniable right to buy new supplies. L’oréal Paris just launched the classic Color Riche lip colors in a new and improved version. I am a true lip girl myself, I rarely step outside my door without having lipstick on (something I got from my mother) and I love all the different kinds. The creamy, the glossy, the sheer, the pearly, the longlasting – I could go on and on. And of course, the matte’s. I love how the color stands out like no other lipstick does, the more you layer the more intense the look, you can build your own unique look under the matte surface. L’oréal just launched 6 new matte Color Riche colors in new and delicious packaging. These are my 4 favorite colors! I especially love the red, it has the perfect amount of orange undertone that makes it “pop” just the right way on the lips. Perfect for summer! Happy shopping!

Jeg havde en meget interessant samtale med en af mine veninder fredag eftermiddag. Hun havde lige været på weekend tur i Amsterdam og sagde til mig “kender du det når man besøger et sted og med det samme får man en følelse af at man bare kunne leve der?” Det kender jeg bestemt. Det er ikke mange steder i verden man får det sådan med, ihvertfald ikke mig. Jeg mener, jo jeg synes da det er skønt at besøge Paris og jeg holder da meget af Milano, og når jeg f.eks. tager hjem til Silkeborg hvor jeg voksede op er det fantastisk fordi jeg elsker min familie men der er ingen af de steder der nogensinde har givet mig følelsen af at høre til som sådan. Det var lige indtil jeg mødte verdens berømte Los Angeles. Det var kærlighed ved første blik, jeg besøgte L.A første gang da jeg var 16 og det er det sted jeg har besøgt aller mest siden. Det får mig til at føle mig større, bedre, roligere, fri, som om jeg ikke kan gå i stykker og mange andre ting men det får mig også til at føle mig langt væk hjemmefra. Hvorfor kunne det ikke have været New York jeg var forelsket i?! Det er meget tættere på. Jeg bliver altid lidt blue når jeg kommer hjem fra L.A. Jeg græder endda når vi letter – hver eneste gang. Some things never change!

english: I had a very interesting conversation with one of my friends this friday afternoon. She had just visited Amsterdam on a weekend getaway and she said to me “you know when you really just get that feeling about a city, like you could really just be you there?”. I know exactly what thats like. It’s not many places in the world one feels that way about, not me at least. I mean sure I think Milan is wonderful and I love to visit Paris, and going home to Silkeborg where I grew up is fantastic because I love my family but non of those places has ever given me that sense of “belonging”. Until I met the famous Los Angeles. It was love at first sight, I visited the first time when I was 16 and it’s probably the place I have traveled to the most since then. It makes me feel, bigger, better, calmer, free, unbreakable and many more things but it also makes me feel far away from home. Why couldn’t it have been New York I fell in love with?! It’s so much closer. The L.A blues always come over me when I get home, I even cry on the plane as it takes of – every single time. Some things never change!

“Efter L.A” depressionen er meget ægte i vores hjem lige nu. Jeg har så meget jetlag men det er okay for det var en vidunderlig tur! Jeg kan næsten ikke fatte at jeg bare i sidste uge rendte rundt i ingenting og at jeg lige nu sidder og tænker på hvilken jakke jeg skal have på ud i verdenen i dag. Der er vendt op og ned på det hele. Men i slipper ikke for sol og sommer på bloggen lidt endnu, der er stadig massere materiale tilbage. Her i en af mine nye favorit kjoler, er den ikke alt for skøn?! Både for sig selv men jeg er også ret forelsket i ideén om at style den med en bred ærmet hvid skjorte under. Enjoy!

english: The post L.A depression is very real at the moment, at our house. I am so jet lagged still but it’s alright, it was such a great trip. I can barely comprehend that I was just running around in bare nothing last week and today I am wondering what coat I should wear out. It’s all upside down. But you are not yet off the hook for some sun and summer on the blog, there is still tons of material left from L.A. Here, in one of my new favorite dresses, it’s it awesome?! At flyve er en ting jeg holder meget af. Lige fra at booke turen og pakke kufferten til at stå i lufthavnen og sidde i flyet. Det er alt sammen en del af oplevelsen når man rejser, det er ikke kun destinationen. Når man rejser lige så meget som mig prøver man alle mulige forskellige airlines og hver gang jeg skal prøve en ny en glæder jeg mig! Der er jo så mange! Denne gang havde vi fornøjelsen af at flyve med det nye WOW air til Los Angeles, et selskab jeg endnu ikke havde haft fornøjelsen af at flyve med. Jeg har dog længe gerne ville da jeg er helt besat af deres pink fly! De er selv super dygtige på sociale medier og har en sej instagram profil som gjorde jeg slet ikke kunne vente med at flyve med dem. WOW air er et islandsk lavprisselskab som specialisere sig i at flyve de lange ture til super billige priser. New York fra 1.985 kr, Boston fra 999 kr, San Fransisco fra 1.099 kr – I mean what? Jeg tager hatten af for at nogen har gjort det til sin vision at alle skal kunne være ægte globetrottere uden at smadre sin opsparing, det super god stil! Der er ikke TV skærme i sæderne på nogen af WOW’s fly men opladnings muligheder til både computer, ipad og telefon på hele rejsen! Og så er der god benplads. Jeg har ihvertfald et par steder på kloden jeg snart kan få krydset af når det er så billigt at komme dertil! TAK til WOW air for at gøre det muligt for os at komme til L.A! Det var en fornøjelse.

english: To fly is something I sincerely enjoy. From booking the trip and packing a suitcase to be in the airport and actually be in the plane. It’s all apart of the experience when traveling, it’s not just the destination. When you travel as much as I do you get to try tons of different airlines and everything I get to try one I haven’t tried before, I am so excited! There are so many! This time I had the pleasure of flying with the new airline, WOW air, to Los Angeles. An airline I had yet not had the pleasure of flying with. I have wanted to for a while though as I am just obsessed with their pink airplanes! Also they are super skilled at social media so I couldn’t wait to fly with them after seeing their profile on instagram. WOW air is an Icelandic low fare airline who specializes in flying the long routes for less money. New York from 1.985 kr, Boston from 999 kr, San Fransisco from 1.099 kr – I mean what? I applaud companies who makes it easier for people to live out their travel dreams without wrecking their wallets. There are no TV’s on the plane but plenty of charging stations for computer, iPad and iPhone for the whole trip! And good legroom! I have some places I now see possible to get crossed of my travel bucket list! Thank you WOW air for making it possible for us to fly yo L.A this easter! It was a pleasure!

L.A er hvor jeg bliver ladt op med inspiration. Alt jeg ser bliver til en idé. Atmosfæren, menneskene, farverne. Oh ja, alle farverne. Jeg får lyst til at male alt omkring mig i stærke farver, får i det hele taget bare lyst til at dyppe mig selv i farver. Stærkt farvet tøj, statement smykker – forskelligt farvet makeup? Kæmpe ja tak til det sidste! Jeg er helt forelsket i trenden om at bruge stærke farver i sin makeup. Dette makeup look er inspireret af farverige Venice Beach. Jeg har brugt en næsten ketchup farvet eyeliner og mascara for at gøre mine øjne super blå. Jeg har brugt en lettere koldt farvet blush direkte på mine kindben og hele vejen op til mine tindinger for at indramme ansigtet og virkelig lade blushen komme til sin ret. Den skal ikke have for lidt! På læberne har jeg blandet to lip paints, en beige og en nude bær farve. Den kombination er simpelthen så smuk synes jeg, lige til at bide i! Yum! Er jeg den eneste som er sulten?

english: L.A is inspiration central for me. My mind just wanders with everything I see. The vibe, the people, the colors. Ah yes the colors. I get a serious desire to paint everything around me in strong colors, I get a desire to dip myself in color actually. Strong colored clothes, statement jewelry – fun colored makeup? Hell yes to the last one. I am all over bold makeup these days. This look was inspired by the bold colors of Venice Beach. I used an almost ketchup colored liner and mascara to make my blue eyes pop. A strong trace of cool colored blush lined directly on the top of my cheekbones and going up into my temples for a strong outline of the face. For the lips I mixed a beige and a berry nude – I love the combo, it’s what I would call “bite-able”. Yum! Anybody else feeling hungry?
