Hej I dejlige!

english: Hello lovelies! The wonderful sommer weather deserves a little shoutout from here in the form of a makeup look. My ideas for tutorials often appear when I change my daily makeup look and then I feel like I have something new to share with you guys. When the sun hits the sky I get a ton of freckles. Running from one ear, over the nose and to the other ear. The strength of the color in my freckles vary a lot from day to day and therefore I love to give them a helping hand sometimes. So if you don’t get any freckles at all and you want some, this is for you too! All the steps will be done in english below so everyone can follow, enjoy!

Step 1

In the summer I like to wear a very natural and almost transparent base. I mix one of my all time favorite foundations from Nimue with a great sunscreen from Kiehl’s. It’s a very light, dewy base that fits the hot days perfectly. If you only wish to wear sunscreen this one from Kiehl’s also has just a touch of color to it so you can use it to cover any uneven areas you might have. But I like to mix it, for me it gives the best result.

Here using:
Foundation / Nimue (call for retailer +45 33 32 33 22), Sunscreen / Kiehl’s (shop here)

Step 2

Let the light meet the dark! Sounds so dramatic but it’s kinda true in this scenario. To lightly conceal my under eyes I am using the YSL beauty touche éclat and to enhance my features I use the Benefit’s hoola contour stick. I love how it’s like sun on the face but shaped as a stick! I start with concealer to map out the light on my face and then I go in with the stick where I feel I need it. You know your own face best so do it as you feel fits your features. Bronze away my queens!

Here using:
Concealer / YSL beauty (shop here), Contour stick / Benefit (shop here)

Step 3

It’s it wonderful how you can buy glow? I am a huge fan of that concept – it’s pure genius. On my brow bone, the bridge of my nose and my chin I use L’oréal’s glam beige healthy glow powder and to create a killer combo I finish the skin of with a generous amount of pearly highlighter on my cheekbones. This one is from Becca.

Here using:
Glam beige healthy glow powder / L’oréal Paris (shop here), Pressed highlighter in pearl / Becca (shop here)

Step 4

Eyes, eyes and more eyes! It makes all the difference, especially for me who has blonde eyebrows and lashes. For this look I went all brown, using two L’oréal favorites of mine. The volume million lashes in brown and the Infallible eyeliner (also in brown). The reason why I choose to go all loco with the coco is because freckles will always have a brown and/or golden undertone to them and I wanted to match them with the rest of the makeup. It also creates a much softer look in the summer sun.

Here using:
Mascara and Eyeliner / L’oréal Paris (shop here and here)

Step 5

I know it’s actually possible to buy “freckle sticks” in stores but I don’t see why you can’t just use something you already have in your makeup bag. I like to use my eyebrow pencils to create the extra freckles. Not just because I already have them and therefore don’t need to buy yet another product but also because I know they will match my skin tone. Because they kinda already do, I mean the color sits above my eyes. I use two different colors, first I use the liquid eyebrow tint from & other stories and make tiny dots from one ear to the other. This tint is slightly darker than my own freckles and creates a nice base. Next I take my Anastasia brow wiz pencil in taupe and I make slightly bigger dots right next to the other dots I just made. If you don’t know where to place the freckles, find a photo of someone who has freckles and notice how randomly their freckles are placed. It’s important to create a mess – a natural mess. If the freckles are too perfect it will look fake. I also tap a few on the side of my nose between my eyes because I also have freckles on my eyelids and I want them all to melt together into a non perfect but perfect mess. You know what I mean?

Here using:
Eyebrow tint / & other stories (shop here), Brow wiz / Anastasia Beverly Hills (shop here)

Step 6

Dab, dab, dab! For this look I like to gently dab over my new freckles when I am done drawing them. This makes them a little matte, instantly appearing more natural. Don’t over due this step though or you might just have to draw on all of the freckles again. Carefull roll the beauty blender over your nose and press on the cheeks – it helps to smile while you do it!

Here using:
Beauty blender (shop here)

Step 7

Ahh the lips, perhaps the most important! It’s kinda like putting a perfect bow on a perfect present! I choose a orangy nude’ish color for this look. I love these liquid lip cremes from Marc Jacobs beauty – such a nice finish. I am crazy about this color! I think it would be lovely on all girls, regardless of skin or hair color!

Here using:
Le Marc liquid lip crème in Yours to try / Marc Jacobs beauty (shop here)

Step 8

SMILE! You look wonderful!
Thank you for tuning in.

Trois Pommes.

english: Do you ever get that feeling of happiness just because of a piece of clothing? Or a bag or shoes? I feel that way about this dress. It’s not just beautiful, it’s also very special. Special because it’s a Varenyky dress and that’s not “just” a dress. Varenyky is a ukrainian clothing brand that uses 1500 years of embroidery traditions in their items. Every embroidered pattern the garments represent symbols of happiness or harmony. The embroideries are handmade and require countless hours and thousands of meters of thread to make. It’s not just something you can see but also something you feel when wearing the clothes. It’s something truly special. Here I choose to use my dress as a top with jeans and sandals. But trust me, it’s just as amazing when worn “just” as a dress with loafers or heels. I am in love.

And we do.. God mandag derude!

english: Thank you weekend, you were sunny and wonderful! I have relaxed, had a good time but I also brought home with me a massive sunburn. Alright “massive” is a big word, dramatic much, BUT I haven’t been able to sleep on my back for two days. It’s no fun being ginger! Actually thats a load of bull**** – I am sure normal colored people also get sunburns – it’s just kinda expected that gingers get them more than others. I don’t know if it’s true. But OUCH! Today it’s gloomy and cloudy in Copenhagen – maybe there will be thunder later! Anyway, these photos fit the weather perfectly, Laura took them when we visited Stockholm a couple of weeks ago. Happy monday!

english: On a wonderful Saturday like today I give you a little jewelry update here on the blog. It’s no secret that I wear the same jewelry all the time – I just have some items that I feel weird without. Thats also why I don’t often I let other pieces of jewelry come into my life and disrupt the well thought out styling of my accessories. BUT one can always make exceptions for the right jewelry. I was introduced to Mumbai Stockholm during last seasons “The Jewelry Room” and I have been totally in love with their slender, delicate, multicolored universe ever since. The small, elegant rings can be stacked and styled just as it fits your mood and I am a firm believer in the more the merrier in this case. The necklaces are from Baks and Blue Billie and together they form a symphony that I adore to wear these days. What does your jewelry collection look like at the moment? I wish you a happy Saturday!

english: It’s not often I get my hair cut. Mostly because the way I feel about going to the salon is the same way most people feel about going to the dentist. Painful, unnecessary and not awesome at all. BUT – my hair was seriously neglected, long, dull and dry. I consulted wonderful Moroccanoil who I trust blindly and they recommended Saco Copenhagen. I was met at the door by the owner of the salon, Betty Christoffersen, who was gonna do my hair. We talked for a while about what I wanted, how I liked to look and what I felt comfortable with. I didn’t get the usual “Oh you have curls so we will cut you in layers” – a hairdo I have suffered under for years because hairdressers just don’t listen! But Betty was different, we talked a lot during the cut about how far she had come and also about what Moroccanoil products she used. Just like she told me what Morroccanoil products I should use at home (and how) so I could tame my new locks. I ended up with a shorter version of the iconic 60’s Brigitte Bardot haircut and for the first time in my life I left the salon feeling heard, happy and beautiful! Thank you Moroccanoil and Saco Copenhagen for listening.

english: The day is finally here! Oh how I have waited. I’ve been in the ELLE VIP-lounge all morning where I have been spoiled rotten! The amazing L’oréal makeup team has done my hair and my face for tonight. I am very inspired by Audrey Hepburn as I found out my newly cut bangs could be brushed aside to look kinda like hers did. The eyeliner is bold, the lashes are plump and the subtle pink details match my dress! I will do a post about my look in details but I won’t give away too much too soon! Remember to check out instastory if you want to follow me around today!

english: It’s not everyday you get mail like this. I am attending ELLE Style Awards this year for the first time as a guest. I am very honored to be apart of the limited number of people who get to go. 3 years ago I attended my first ESA, I bought a ticket and saw the show with a friend of mine. This was a very special evening for me as I only one week after would start working as a fashion assistant at ELLE and I got to see all the girls “live”. It was huge to me, I knew who all of them were and I felt so good knowing I was going to be apart of the team. For the next ESA I was attending as Fashion coordinator for ELLE, I dont think I have ever been more proud. It was just after I got a permanet position at ELLE. I had so much to do that evening that didn’t eat or watch the show but it was an amazing night. This was also where I assisted danish actress Ellen Hillingsø who I am very fond of and was so excited to meet! Last ESA I was also working even though I was no longer at ELLE. They had asked me if I could help out backstage and I was very proud to do so! And now here we are, 2017 – my first year as a L’oréal Paris golden girl and with an invitation to attend ELLE Style Awards as a guest. I am so proud and can’t wait to be apart of what I am sure will be a spectacular evening.

english: I can’t not say it – this post is of course heavy inspired by the incredible Native Fox. It’s her fault I absolutely had to own these pantyhose, aren’t they just life?! They make me so happy. As you have probably seen on instagram, Laura and I were in Stockholm with YSL last week hence where these photos came to life. Give Laura and I a new place to shoot and you won’t see us for hours and hours. It’s such a pleasure working with her, she’s simply genius.

Happy monday!

english: Monday is the day for color – it kinda get you out the door doesn’t it? I actually never really liked pink to be honest. Baby pink sure but not real, strong pink. It’s a tough color for me to decode. That’s why it is now important for me to rumble with it, try it, style it – wear it! This Rodebjer knit, on the other hand, is genius. I want it in all colors. It’s the kind of really heavy, delicious knit that just falls perfectly on the torso. I look forward to using it with shorts and sneakers or over a maxi dress! Happy Monday!
